The Biggest Dome Arena in the World

It's in the news that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is building the world's biggest arena in Bucaue, Bulacan, Philippines. This arena will be called "Philippine Arena" as a tribute to the Philippines.

This arena will be used by the INC for its centennial celebration by July 27, 2014. However, according to its Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, the arena will be open to the Filipinos and for the International events.

In other words, the said arena is not just for the INC's activities.

The said arena is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. And it is being made clear that the money used in building this is from the church own pocket. And everybody knows that the money owned by INC is coming from the offerings made by its members.

The Filipinos should be proud of this structure. It might be the product of the effort of the Iglesia Ni Cristo and most of the Catholics consider the INC their enemy but you should remember that the structure is not just for them but for us Filipinos. In fact, the INC did not call it INC Arena but Philippine Arena.

I am saying this because I read many comments from Filipinos who do not appreciate such achievements which is tributed to the Philippines not just to the INC itself. There are those who argue that the Philippine Arena is not the world's largest arena since it can only accommodate 50,000 seats compared to the Cowboy Stadium that can accommodate up to 100,000 seats.

We need to understand that engineers, designers who are world class will not consider it the world's biggest arena if it is not the biggest. So if the Cowboy Stadium can accommodate 100,000 seats then it is more bigger than the Philippine Arena. However, these engineers and designers still consider the Philippine Arena the biggest.... So I am sure that there is a huge difference between the two. And two different things couldn't be compared to each other as if they are the same.

Anyway, another blogger wrote, "INC Builds World's Largest Dome".

Gaisano Malls in Southern Leyte

Southern Leyte is blessed with two malls these days. One is the Gaisano Capital in Sogod and the other is the Gaisano Metro in Maasin City.

The mall in Sogod is already on operation since May 2011 if I am not mistaken but the mall in Maasin City is still underconstruction.

The Southern Leyte government can now breath well, for one of their problems, particularly in employment, has been partially solved. I said partially solved since the employment provided by these malls is not really enough considering that not all employees of these malls are coming from our province.

But the good thing of this is that these malls are letting people from other provinces to come not just to work but to buy goods too. This will of course result to the rise of the province's economy.

However, I heard that there are store owners who are complaining with the establishment of these malls. The accused these malls as the one who will turn their business upside down.
